I had the opportunity to start with Reliance
Hexham in 1993 after completing an Industrial Blacksmithing trade in the
steel making industry.
After 7 invaluable years as a tradesman both
in the workshop and on various mine sites, I was offered a promotion as a
Sales Engineer. Following this I studied and completed a Diploma of
Mechanical Engineering which led to a further promotion to Engineering
Manager.
Other
qualifications include an AINDT recognised Level 3 Magnetic Particle
Tester, Certificate IV TAE Trainer & Assessor, Certificate IV in
Business (Frontline Management) and a NATA recognised signatory.

I completed my apprentice as an
Industrial Blacksmith with BHP in 1994. I then worked at another Newcastle
blacksmith shop before moving onto a large fabrication & mine
maintenance company.
I
joined the Reliance Hexham team in August 1996 utilising my skills in
Fabrication, Forging & Heat Treatment of Steels. I was promoted to
Sales Engineer in 2002. In 2007 I completed Level 2 NDT and am recognised
by AINDT. I am also a NATA signatory for NDT, Proof Loading and Brinell Hardness Testing. I have also completed
Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) in 2008.
I
enjoy the challenges presented to us by our customers in designing &
developing lifting equipment using the knowledge I have gained.

I began with Reliance Hexham in 2009 as a
Mechanical Engineer after completing a degree in Bachelor of Engineering in
Mechanical Engineering at The University of NSW in 2008.
I am a member of The Institute of Engineers
Australia and have completed a Statement of Attainment in Non Destructive
Testing to AINDT Certification (Magnetic Particle Testing) at TAFE NSW in
2010.
I
enjoy turning a concept or idea into working reality. Our 3D Inventor
software enables me to design and draw equipment to our customers
specifications and show them an accurate representation of the equipment
before it is manufactured.
The

John Browning
Project Engineer
I was employed by Reliance Hexham
mid-2011 as an undergraduate engineer in a design role.
My current qualifications include an
Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering (Design) which I completed at
the Canberra Institute of Technology in 2006-2007.
I am also currently studying a Bachelor
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) at the University of Newcastle.
Reliance Hexham gives me the
opportunity to use the knowledge I have gained from my studies in a
practical and innovative working environment.
The design work we see here at Reliance
is diverse and it is exciting to be learning from a skilled and experienced
team.

I started with
Reliance Hexham in December 2011 as an undergraduate Mechanical Engineer. I
am a Light Vehicle Mechanic by trade and after working in that industry for
8 years, decided to take my career in a new and challenging direction. I
commenced my engineering degree in 2009 at the University of Newcastle. The
best part about working at Reliance Hexham is they
not only design new products for their clients, they also oversee the
manufacture and implementation of their designs. This will allow me to gain
valuable skills in all aspects of the design process. The team at Reliance
are helping me to become a proficient engineer and I feel very privileged
to be part of this great company.

I
started with Reliance Hexham in 2006 as a Trainee Administration Assistant.
In 2009 I received a promotion to Office Administrator and now I am the
Business Systems Administrator looking after the Quality Assurance,
Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, NATA Laboratory Compliances,
Certification and Human Resource.
I
have completed my Certificate III & IV in Business Administration with
Distinction and am now completing my Diploma of Business Administration.
I
love working at Reliance Hexham, it’s a great office environment and I work
with a fantastic bunch of people.

I
started with Reliance Hexham in 2011 as Financial Accountant. I have
completed a Bachelor of Commerce with Majors in Finance and Financial
Accounting at the University of Newcastle and am a CPA Certified
Accountant. I have eight years experience working in Commercial accounting
roles. I love working with such a wonderful team here at Reliance Hexham,
it’s a great place to work.
